FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Is this course for beginners?

    It is recommended that you have knowledge and experience in working with the medium and the tools. The course does not cover these skills. The course does begin with the very basics of drawing a face and focus mainly on color. If you are a beginner in portraits and want to learn how to use color then this course is for you.

  • When does the course start?

    The course launched in February, 2020. Upon registration and payment you can start immediately and it never ends! It is a completely self-paced online course. You decide when you start and finish.

  • How long do I have access to the course?

    A lifetime! After enrolling (upon launch) you will have unlimited access to this course for as long as you like - across all devices.

  • I'm an oil painter, can I take the course?

    The course focuses on teaching the basics of drawing a face and focuses on color. The preferred medium is acrylic, however we do have oils painters in our course. If you are an oil painter I recommend that you understand your medium enough to be able translate the technique.

  • What if I have questions or need help?

    Each lesson has a discussion board attached to it where your question may already be answered. You can start new threads with your specific question. We have a great community of artists that love to help each other. Charla regularly visits the discussions and Private Facebook Group to offer her advice and critique.

  • Can I start with the art supplies I already have?

    There are a few specific supplies including paint colors that you will need in order to follow along. Please look under the 'SUPPLIES' button in the top menu for a list of required materials.

  • What if I am unhappy with the course?

    We don't want you to be unhappy! If you are unsatisfied with the purchase, contact us within the first 15 days of launch and we will give you a full refund.
